Veterinary Technician moving to the UK?

I have currently almost completed Veterinary Technician degree here in the US (a two year degree). But recently there have been circumstances which encouraged me to move to the United Kingdom after completion of this degree. (i.e. fiance)

I need someone who can help or direct me to a resource that can help me figure out how to translate my veterinary technician degree into a veterinary nursing career. If anyone knows of any websites that could answer veterinary nursing demand in the UK as well that would be a big help.

Basically, I’m clueless about what I should do and where I should be looking!

  1. You should start by contacting the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as that is the group that oversee veterinary nurses. They will be the group that would have to determine the value of your degree compared to their requirements for credentialing of veterinary nurses in the UK.
