Do I have to possess a bachelor's degree in nursing to work as a nurse in the UK?
I am currently an SRN but I don’t have a degree, I have a diploma. In the future I may go live in the UK but I have been told that they don’t accept nurses with a diploma, you have to have a degree in order to work as a nurse, is this true?
Registered Nurse Pay?!?
So, I’m from the UK and considering a career in nursing, I’d love to move around doing a job I love, so I thought I’d consider going to America!
What I’d most likely do is;
Start/Finish a nursing degree
Gain experience working in the NHS and loading agency,
Spend up to 5 years nursing in UK
Move to America, nurse in either New York, Florida/Orlando or California!
NHS starting salary is around £21,500 a year…
So, say I did like 3 years and gained lots of experience in nursing, mainly critical care/ Intensive Care or Acute Admissions or Accident and Emergency..
What would an average salary be if I then decided to move to America?
How to become an obstetrician and gynecologist after completing an mental health nursing degree?
I asked this question in a different post but didn’t go into detail like I should have:
Can I gain entry into medical school to become an obstetrician and gynaecologist with a degree in mental health nursing? Or would I need to complete a different degree such as a science based subject or do my A Levels? (Currently MHN student). I’d study medicine in either the UK (where I am now) or Australia as I plan to move there once I complete my nurse training.

I was not originally planning on going to university but I have changed my mind I am 19 and really want to make a difference in my own life and helping others . I do have GCSE and A levels though , crap grades and not any Science A levels . Is there anyway to make my dream of nursing in the US possible .?? I would love a 2nd chance!! thanks for any advicexx
IF i got a nursing degree over in the UK how could i go about retraining , would it cost me thousands ?? . Would there be a scholarship or loan or something to help me pay if i do well in a degree from here . Iread it will take 6 years to retrain . PLEASE HELP!!!

Is there any organisation offering mortgages in UK if you don't have a job? Use rent to pay bills instead?
I have a flat that I am due to inherit, but the point is I don’t know when my great grandmother is going to die (suggest it is only a matter of a couple of years – she’s in her 90s). Unfortunately, she now has dementia so she cannot make any rulings about who owns the property/whose name the property is in as far as the law is concerned, and so I want to buy the property I am due to inherit to stop it being sold to pay for her care. (My money from the sale will then pay for the nursing home.) Everyone is OK with this in theory, but the problem is I am currently doing my degree so I cannot get a full-time job although I do have one-third of the value of the property as a deposit. However, I can rent out the flat which would cover the mortgage payments.
Unfortunately, my bank will not approve a mortgage unless I have a job – this is a rule for them, otherwise I have a great credit rating. Could I go to another lender who would let me cover the mortgage payments through rent alone? There are many flats in this (town centre) block which are rented out, and I have a signed letter from a well-known rental agency who say they will be happy to take the property on to their books and they give the price they would expect to get.
The solicitor in control of this is happy for me to proceed, as he knows my great granny wants me to have the flat – she told him this in person. It seems very unfair that we can’t sort this problem out as it all looks so do-able on paper.
Please help!
I have a significant down payment – 50% of the cost of the property. So that is much more than most people could put down for a mortgage. The mortgaged amount would be reasonably small, and once I got a job it would not be a problem. It’s just a timing issue.

OK – get this …
My Grandmother is STILL ALIVE so although she has left me this property in her will AS WITNESSED BY THE SOLICITOR AND TWO OTHER WITNESSES until she is dead, I cannot inherit from her will … With me so far Princess Beatrice? It’s really not that hard to understand, degree or not.
The problem is all her money is wrapped up in the value of the property, so to release it to pay for the care home fees – the property has to be sold to SOMEONE – ANYONE – And that includes ME!!!!If I buy her flat, she will have MY MONEY! I will be buying her flat off her. I will not be stealing it.
The problem comes when I have to finish my degree as well as organising a finance package to pay for the property. I wanted suggestions for this. NOTHING here is immoral or illegal.
ultrasound sonography?
I am currently an ultrasound sonography student. After I receive my degree, I am interested in traveling in my field (just like travel nurses). I am particularly interested in traveling internationally to places such as the UK or Australia. Is it possible to travel overseas to do my line of work and do I have to have a certain amount of experience before I start traveling? Any input would be appreciated!
