Career advice please…?

Right,My son will be starting school in Septmeber and I’m planning on going back to college (I’m 23) but can’t decide what I want to study,I was a dental nurse for 5years and a Auxiliary nurse for a year,I know I dont want to go down that path again. When I was at school the only GCSE I passed was Art (I got an A) i’m interested in working with Children and doing something along the arty line’s BUT I don’t want to be a art teacher,It’s going to take far to long to qualify, anybody got any other idea’s,Children and art what are the options???
SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!
Thank-you in advance.

  1. Do you like very little children? Could you enjoy working in a children’s nursery? It’s not exactly fine art, but children develop and learn extremely important things from art and craft activities – it’s important on an expressive level and also psychologically for them.
At my child’s nursery they do things like getting all the children to press their feet and hands in wet plaster to make wall plaques which are really funky. They make all kinds of imaginative things which the children are involved in but which look so cool.

Another thing you could look into is those pottery cafes where people can paint plain pottery with glazes which the cafe fires for them. You would meet creative people and I think it could be a fun job for someone with not a lot of paper qualifications.
